In order to start the automatic logbook recording, your vehicle needs to be connected once. There are two variants:
- AutoLogg box to plug in yourself in the vehicle.
- AutoLogg Connected technology that allows a direct connection to your vehicle (currently available for BMW with ConnectedDrive as of 07/2017, Ford with FordPass Connect, Mercedes with Connectivity equipment and Porsche with Porsche Connect).

Your license will automatically be extended every month. If you do not want this, you can of course cancel at any time.

In order to be able to use the AutoLogg box, CAN must be present on the OBD. This is not always the case for vehicles with a production period up to 2008, which is why compatibility with AutoLogg is not possible here.
